Paint protection film (PPF) is a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) film applied to the painted surfaces of a new or used car in order to help protect the paint from stone chips, bug splatters, and minor abrasions. PPF has been around since the 1950s and has more recently become popularly known as clear bra. But where did paint protection film come from in the first place?

What's the difference between TPU and TPH paint protection film?
1. Material: TPH adds plasticizer to traditional materials and has good flexibility after improvement; TPU is a kind of thermoplastic polyurethane with excellent physical properties and chemical stability, and is a mature environmental protection material.
2, quality: TPH is brittle in the process of use, the protection ability is weak, and the selected adhesive layer is easy to fall off, which will produce offset printing or glue on the paint surface; TPU has good toughness and strong thermal repair function.
3, service life: the service life of TPH is about 2-3 years; the service life of TPU is 5-10 years.
4. Malleability: the ppf made of TPU material has good malleability, it is difficult to break by hand, and it has a good stretching rebound effect. The car and clothing made of TPH material has poor malleability and can be broken by hand.
5, springback performance: it takes a lot of effort to open the ppf of TPU, while the car and clothing made of TPH can be pulled with very little effort. There is a person standing on the car and clothing made of TPU. After lifting the person in the air, the car and clothing will not be broken, while the car and clothing made of TPH will not.
6, resist scratches: TPH ppf mainly rely on their own hardness to resist scratches, if there are scratches on cars and clothes, they need to be replaced, while ppf made of TPU material produce scratches, as long as they are not completely scrapped, then the scratches on ppf can be repaired automatically or use hot air to speed up the repair.
